Bristol-based indie-pop / electronica artist Hector Who Lived released his debut single Monkey on October 15th. Hector has an array of musical achievements under his belt since his move to Bristol in 2017, having played venues such as The O2 Academy Oxford, The Bullingdon, Jericho Tavern and Truck Festival with his band The Outside. Hector spoke with The Fountain about the new music as well as his plans for performing live soon.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Monkey?

The track isn’t out quite yet so I can’t comment on how it’s been received, however, I’m very excited to get it out into the world!

TF: And can you sum up the track in one sentence?

A genre blending exploration of an addictive personality.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?

To prepare everything for the next single, polish the live full band performance and get out there doing more gigs.

TF: When can we next expect a live show from you now that venues and gigs are kicking off again?

On the release day, I will be headlining an intimate gig at Cloak and Dagger Bristol and performing as a two piece in Bournemouth on the 26th November at Black Cherry.
