Italian born, London based singer/songwriter Alice Pisano is known for her uniquely warm vocals and natural ability for writing emotive pop songs. AKA Angelic Aura, Alice has just released a new track, September, which touches on the bittersweet feeling of summer ending. Produced by John Foyle (Years & Years, Maisie Peters), the track features strong chords and emotive lyrics, paired with the skeletal soundscape and haunting backing melodies. Alice spoke with The Fountain about the single as well as her plans for the rest of the year, including some live shows in Autumn.
TF: You have a new single out, what can we expect from September?
I wrote it after a break-up… it’s a sad song but I also hope it can be a comfort for someone who’s going through the same thing. I filmed a video for it which I’ll be releasing very soon!
TF: And can you sum up the track in one sentence?
It’s a piano-led, bittersweet end of summer ballad.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?
Write write write… and plan my next release! And I have a few live shows coming up this autumn which I’m really looking forward to.
TF: When can we next expect a live show from you now that venues and gigs are kicking off again?
I’m playing Liverpool Sound City on 2nd October and supporting Astræa at Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 14th October.
