Ziggy Alberts is back with new EP, SFF Demos, which have come from recordings on his phone from his time touring. With this news, The Fountain caught up with Ziggy to discuss new music and gigs, and venues.

TF: You have a new EP out, what has the reception been like to SFF Demos?

It has been fantastic – I think music listeners are craving real, honest recordings. These are very, very real … you can hear it, from my pitch to various noises such as bicycles, skateboards and at one point power tools from a tradesman next door (haha).

TF: And can you sum up the record in one sentence?

Relaxed. These are recordings off my phone, from my time on the road – nothing more, nothing less.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

I don’t actually have a favourite venue – I’ve played to many awesome places, from the streets to really big shows. I’m really looking forward to just being back with thousands of people singing dancing and smiling – wherever that may be.
