The Hilder released their debut single Lost On You last month, which was recorded and produced by Lee McCarthy and Ady Hall at Sugar House studios and mastered by the renowned Pete Maher. With this in mind, The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss new music and the prospect of gigging.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Lost On You?

It has been received really well from the people who have listened to it. It’s early days still and we have a lot of stuff planned in over the next few weeks to push it even further so we are looking forward to that!

TF: Can you sum up the track in one sentence?

Lost On You talks about failing relationships which we can all relate to and it aims to deliver itself as a high tempo, snappy and energetic indie rock/pop song with a catchy singalong chorus.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?

Our plan is currently to continue writing songs and to gain a bit of momentum through future releases before we start gigging in 2022.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

That’s a very tough question to answer with so many amazing venues out there to play. We just can’t wait to get out there and play as many as we can familiar venues and new!
