Cutting right to the centre of pure, uninterrupted rock, Regent are the unruly rocks of Southampton. Taking inspiration from the seminal songbooks of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and the masterful melodies of their many Brit Pop acolytes, Regent revel in the works of those past masters and carry their mantle on to a new generation. With new track She Rocks My Soul, out, the band spoke with The Fountain about their new music and desire to play festivals.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to She Rocks My Soul?

It’s been great, something tells me the great feedback will continue on…

TF: And can you sum up the track in one sentence?

This track is an in your face rock n roll love song…

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?

We’ll be releasing another single after this one, and then release our debut album before the end of the year…

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

We like The Joiners in our hometown or The Brook…In an ideal world we’d like to play festivals and are looking for big support slots…
