“I’m walking way above cloud 9, making my own sunshine” is the opening line of A Perfect Day, a feel-good happy song performed by London singer songwriter Anna Aarons. This positive upbeat track, written by Dean Adams and Nick Moxsom, was released on 28th May via Cute Spider Records and distributed by Horus Music. With new music out The Fountain caught up with Anna to discuss new music, plans and venues.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to A Perfect Day?
People are really enjoying it, they’re saying it’s a really happy summery tune and makes them smile which is great to hear.
TF: And can you sum it up in one sentence?
A really happy summery tune!
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?
After last year, it’s hard to make plans when life has proven it can take you in any direction, so I’ll see where life takes me. Hopefully towards more music and singing live regularly again.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
I’ve been lucky enough to perform at Pizza Express Live in Holborn which is the newest of their three London music venues. It’s such a nice intimate space and so many great names have played at Pizza Express Jazz clubs so feel lucky to be one of them and I’m back there on 18th July.
