The Shed Project are back with their remix of One Shot, a track that highlights the Madchester music scene. With this and a gig in the pipeline, The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss music, plans and venues.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to One Shot?
The reception to the One Shot remix has been amazing. We planned it as a tribute to the days of The Hacienda and we think we have nailed it and getting the legend MC Tunes involved was a dream come true as he is one of our heroes from that era of music.
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
A tribute to Madchester and to all who lived it.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
We want to just keep improving track by track. The progression from our first release in January 2020 to now is there for all to see. We are debating whether to release a four track EP or to do the full album so stay tuned shed heads…
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
Funny enough because of Covid etc we haven’t played a gig yet. Our debut gig is in our hometown Bolton on the 20th August with Northern Revelation and The DDES at the famous Phoenix Club (Peter Kay) So really looking forward to blowing the roof off then. After that we have our own Warehouse Party planned with 2 famous Madchester faces in the mix.
