Bath-based rock four-piece Novatines have just released their single Joyride via SaySomething Records. A declaration of war in sonic form, blazing with high octane guitars and adrenaline fuelled drums, beaten into a mountain of sawdust. Joyride captures the frustration, distrust and the jaded spirit of every generation who has felt the boot of the ruling class rest upon their neck. The band spoke with The Fountain about the new track and their plans for the rest of the year.

TF: You have a new single out next Friday, what has the reception been like to Joyride so far?

So far super positive! people seem to be loving all the energy in the track!

TF: How would you sum the track up in one sentence?

The track encapsulates the anger and frustration of being taken for a ride. It’s essentially saying, enough is enough.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year?

Live in the studio and wait until we can properly hit the road again, we are all getting cabin fever at this stage!

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

It’s hard to pick a favourite venue – But Colombia Halle in Berlin or Circus Krone in Munich were particularly mind blowing! Home shows are always special too, we are playing at Komedia in Bath on the 19th of July and it should be a shit kicker of a show!
