The HUNYBEES have stormed into 2021 with their biggest project to date, a four track EP Filth. To honour the body of work, the band have dropped the first single from the record, I Keep Falling in Love, a raw, cutting edge and unique Indie/Rock belter, blending in an optimistic summery tone melody with deepened vocals. The band spoke with The Fountain about the new single and plans for the rest of the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to I Keep Falling in love ?

It’s been really warm and positive. Despite it being a very tongue and cheek song, we are really proud of how it’s turned out so any validation since it’s release has been amazing to hear.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

A self indulgent, cheesy, rock song.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release, I note an EP?

Yes yes yes! Our EP Filth is out June 18th, which we are super excited about. It’s been a long time coming so we’re nervous but mostly excited. And then the main focus for this year will be gig after gig. That sweet face to face gratification.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

Our local Club 85, in Hitchin. We’ve been booking and playing this venue since we were 15 and if we didn’t do that so regularly, with such a good response I don’t think we would’ve wanted to do this properly.

30th July, which is coming around alarmingly soon, we’re playing The Grace, London. We’ve wanted to play this venue for a long time, and it’ll be banging to play it with our mates Juno.
