AJ Wander has new track out, which addresses the toxic and dysfunctional relationship he had with his ex partner. Eye to Eye, is precisely about not seeing precisely that. AJ spoke with The Fountain about the new track, the reception it has received as well as some other plans for the year.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Eye to Eye?
It’s been lovely to hear how the song has echoed other people’s experiences; it’s always nice to not feel alone in an experience and know that I’m not a complete weirdo for feeling the things I feel.
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
The pain of something you hold dear coming to an end, wrapped up with with the relief of finally being able to move on.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
Heaps of new music and hopefully a gig or 50.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
Oooof….I’d say my favourite live venue is The Roundhouse in Camden. My next and FIRST gig will be at a festival in Ohio called Wonderstruck. Bloody excited to be up on a stage!
