Midlands based Paradise Circus emerge with new single What A Way (Cheetah). Consisting of David Purchase on vocals, Callum Cartwright on lead guitar, Sam Allen on bass and Nathan Shingler on drums, the group first met as teenagers in Birmingham and quickly bonded by their unwavering love of music, that soon transformed the friends into the electric four-piece seen today. With the new release, The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss the track and further plans for the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to What A Way (Cheetah)?

For us this release has been mental and from being played on co op radio to getting over 1000 streams in 1 day the growth compared to the other singles has been insane. We even got a message from a fan saying she wants our signatures tattooed.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

An anthemic unstoppable arena ready indie rock classic, with the catchiest chorus you’ll hear this year!

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

We have some really exciting gigs coming up especially in July and October as well as our debut EP release which What a Way (Cheetah) is the first single from. We’ve spent so much time honing our craft and perfecting our sound and this year will be the perfect opportunity to show the new era of Paradise Circus.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

Despite us being new on the circuit and only playing two gigs due to lockdown, our sold out double headline set at The Dark Horse in Moseley, Birmingham has been our favourite gig so far. They had a fantastic backdrop with an amazing crowd. We’re also looking forward to playing the iconic Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham (to be announced) and sharing the same stage that Dua Lipa and JAWS once performed on.
