Back with their first new music of 2021 The Clockworks released their new track, Feels So Real, back in March via It’s Creation Baby. With the enlivening roar of a city in full bustle, Feels So Real is a paean to our urban centres. Breathing-in every particle of their newfound home in London, on their latest single The Clockworks exhale a torrent of noise, energy and atmosphere that captures life in the capital for all its exhilarating, exhausting nuance. The band spoke with The Fountain about the track as well as further plans for 2021.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Feels So Real?
The reception so far has been great. We’ve had lots to do which is always a good sign.
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
This song is about trying to capture a certain energy or excitement, taking in the city and feeling alive.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
We are hoping that we’ll be able to tour this year, and we’ll play as much as we can when we are able. Aside from that, we’ll keep writing lots and for now we’re content releasing singles.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
The venue in Galway where we cut our teeth is called Roisin Dubh, and we always love playing there. We’re looking forward to any chance to get on stage really. Seeing new countries will be great so anywhere we haven’t been before.
