Rising UK pop star Eleni C continues her streak with her recent release of new single Black and White. Eleni fuses addictive hooks with reggaeton undertones and an island bounce which flaunts Eleni’s professional music craft. She spoke with The Fountain about the track in more depth as well as performing live again.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Black and White?
The reception for my new single has been so positive. I never thought it was going to be as well received as it has been, because it has a slightly different vibe to most of the other singles I’ve released.
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
It’s a quirky track highlighting the truth that is universally acknowledged, that the course of true love never runs smoothly.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
I’m currently preparing for some virtual shows and I hope I will be able to do some of them live! I’m also prepping for my next release!
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
Personally my favourite part of performing live is getting the opportunity to interact with the audience, so I’m not really fussed if the venue is big or small, as long as there’s and audience and good sound, I’m happy! To be honest I’m not too sure where my next live venue is due to the pandemic, but I just can’t wait for it to be anywhere!
