WOLFCLUB create a hybrid of summery Synth wave and Indie Pop with Dance- inflected melodies. With new track Just Drive Part I out The Fountain caught up with them to discuss new music and plans for 2021 as well as their favourite venue, for when we can do that again.

TF: You have a new LP out, what can we expect from Just Drive Part I?

Cinematic soundscapes, anthemic vocal melodies, driving analogue basslines, crunchy guitars riffs, dreamy synths. Hopefully you’ll find your new favourite euphoric/nostalgic anthem that blends touches of synth-wave, indie rock and alt pop.

TF: How would you sum up the record in one sentence?

Just Drive plays like the soundtrack to a film that is yet to be made, the sound of an endless summer long gone but never forgotten, or a long drive you don’t want to end…

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

Just Drive Part 2 is out later on in the year (probably late summer), so we are finishing off mixing and mastering those tracks, write some more songs in the meantime for future albums and hopefully maybe play a few gigs if we can.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

Rock City in Nottingham, iconic venue where all my favourite bands and artists have performed, they have an incredible sound system, stage and audience every time. If we can arrange it we would love to do a mini tour of Europe and America at some point.
