Coral Palms are a four-piece indie pop band conceived and created in Torquay, Devon. Now, currently based in London, band members Ollie, Will, Adriano and Callum deliver an infectious, breezy sound, planting palm trees and warm summer memories in your head. With a new track out, and plans for live performances in the summer The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss new music and plans for the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Echoes?

Awesome! Honestly the love and support we’ve received from our fans, friends and family has been overwhelming, it just reinforces to us that we made the right choice in choosing music as our craft. New listeners keep pouring in everyday from every corner, it’s exciting stuff! As a band we all said that we wouldn’t get caught up on statistics and numbers on a screen. We are first and foremost musicians, and that is our passion, writing and creating the best bangers we can to the highest standard possible. The response from listeners only fuels our intrinsic need to create melodies, smash grooves and write lyrics that our relatable, honest and catchy.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

A vibrant break-up song to inspire self-worth.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

GIGS AND MORE MUSIC!! We have plenty more bangers left to share with the world, and so much value to bring to the table. Live shows are our bread and butter, and we’re hyped to take these tunes on the road this summer. Multiple shows across the UK, including Torquay, London, Colchester and many more, plus tonnes of exciting new music and content to share with you throughout the year.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?-

I think this answer may vary depending on which member you ask, but in terms of our favourite venue so far, Camden Assembly has to be up there. The show that started it all, 200 people rammed into a room singing your lyrics back to you, now that’s something you can’t beat. It was also where 4 young lads got in way over their heads, so thank god it’s worked out! In terms of upcoming shows, personally I’m pumped for our show at the Apple & Parrot in Torquay on July 31st. It’s my hometown, so we know many of the faces, and they’re nuts! It’s always a brilliant night there, and the crowd just goes for it!
