Upcoming artist, Ann Christine, has released the first single of a brand new pop project, CCC, which is fresh, edgy and sophisticated, drawing references to artists like M.I.A and combining the 2000s with a huge market potential.
Ann Christine is a Danish artist and songwriter based in Berlin, where she’s signed to Once Upon a Time in Berlin at Sony ATV and currently working as a writer and featured artist with well-known DJs and producers on the international music scene. Ann spoke with The Fountain about CCC as well as plans for the rest of the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what can we expect from CCC?

Madness. Chaos. Sass. CCC is a celebration of living out boldly, just because you can. It’s of course inspired by sceneries of my own journey through many years in Berlin and the people creating its wild surroundings. What to expect? Much more to come – very soon! I’m telling it as it is: “Cats cause chaos that dogs don’t do,” and isn’t that the beauty of it?

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

When the first lock-down hit us last year, I realised that I was finally ready to share the true story of how I got here: From growing up in Denmark to living amongst cowboys in Chile and restarting life in the beautiful madness of Berlin. It’s been a both wild and emotional rollercoaster, turning losses and sickness into my superpower. CCC is only the first story in a series of a very exciting line-up this year, so keep your expectations high! I promise to keep surprising you all. And who knows, maybe there’s a new song coming just around the corner? 🙂

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

It’s been many years since I’ve been performing live, but I’m extremely excited to get back out there! Let’s see what the future holds in terms of Covid restrictions – but I can’t wait to put up a big show and party with you all in a non-virtual way! 🙂
