London based Ukrainian producer and songwriter, Sleepwoka, returns with another poignant single enthused with uplifting electro-pop soundscapes. Since he burst on the scene just last year, Sleepwoka, has released a string of successful singles gaining the attention of BBC Music Introducing London, Earmilk, Variance and Atwood Magazine. With Together We Are out, The Fountain caught up with Sleepwoka to talk 2021 and venues.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Together We Are?

The feedback for Together We Are has been great. A lot of people have been reaching out to me on socials with words of support from all around the world. It’s remarkable to see how the music written in a bedroom can resonate to people with different backgrounds in every corner of the globe.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

Together we are is reminder that we are still connected in 2020 despite all the craziness and being thousands of miles apart.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

2021 is packed with new singles music videos and live videos. There are 3 new songs in progress, the first one of which was written more than a year ago and was waiting for the chance to be heard. I believe that the new singles sound slightly different but still follow the same style.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

Unfortunately, we only had a chance to have several small live shows before the pandemic and all of our live plans got indefinitely postponed. That being said, once the COVID is over I would love to have a chance to perform in Sofar Sounds in London. I really love intimate venues where you feel a close connection with people listening to the music and Sofar Sounds is perfect for that.
