GENN have released a new single Feel from their forthcoming EP Liminal, which will be out via London independent label Everything Sucks Music (GHUM, Honey Joy, Charmpit) on 30th March. The band spoke with The Fountain about the new music and their hopes for the rest of the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Feel?

We’re really happy that a lot of people are feeling Feel (pun intended!). This song is one of our favourites on the upcoming EP – so we’re super glad that people are embracing this mature version of GENN.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

A psychedelic trip that fulfils your escapist dreams.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release, I note a March EP release?

Since touring is pretty much off the table until COVID-19 is more or less under control, we’re trying to come up with creative ways how our audience can enjoy the EP from the comfort of their homes. In addition to promoting the EP as much as it is possible, we’re gonna go back to drawing board real soon and create some new tunes, so that once touring is back on the table, we’ll have an arsenal of tunes that will allow us to tour as much as it’s physically possible.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

We really love The Hope & Ruin in Brighton and The Windmill in Brixton. These venues and their staff have supported us since our very first UK tour. A collective goal would be Brighton’s Concorde 2 – as we’ve seen a lot of cool bands playing there and hometown shows are always great! Boomtown Festival is also a goal for us – unfortunately, our 2020 performance and our whole festival season got cancelled ‘cos of COVID. So, fingers crossed that you’ll be able to catch us in your area in 2022!
