Four piece female led band, Scarlet, are back with recent single Bring Me Down, which is a track drenched in hooks and guitar swirls that’s both hard hitting but also glimmering with indie pop. Cai and Laura from the band spoke with The Fountain about the single as well as their plans for the year.

TF: You have a debut single out, what has the reception been like to Bring Me Down?

Cai: The reception has been good, each release is growing more than the previous, we are really happy with it, but still a lot more to be looking forward to!

Laura: it’s been the best yet, people having been very engaging in giving us positive feedback. It’s been our most popular song on streaming sites too.

TF: How would you sum up the record in one sentence?

Laura: Upbeat energetic riffs with a pop vocal.

Cai: Just loads of fun really!

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

Cai: We are currently tucked away writing more and getting ready to record more and release more!

Laura: Yes! So, Practice, write more songs and wait to finally gig!

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

Cai: Its hard to pick a favourite, there have been so many great ones, and they are all uniquely special. But one I really look forward to going back to is actually the Brudenell in Leeds. That and fingers crossed a few other gigs in some venues that we should be playing in 2021 ??

Laura: Brudenell in Leeds is a great venue to play. The crowd is always really enthusiastic.
