Rock trio Hot Juice have been branding their sound on Jerseys rear end with a summer of loud gigs and new tracks. With new single, What You Gunna Do Now?, out the band spoke with The Fountain about the the reception and their plans for 2021.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to What You Gunna Do Now?
We’ve been over the moon with the reception to What You Gunna Do Now?, with it being released so close to Christmas it felt like a bit of a risk, but all the feedback and reviews we got from it we’re positive, we got a loads of radio plays from stations across the UK and everyone seemed to enjoy it with the streams and video plays.
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
A fast burst of positive energy for escaping the problems of 2020 and rolling into 2021.
TF: What is your plan for 2021, after this release?
We’re planning on keeping the momentum going with more singles over the coming months from the new album we’re working on. We’re aiming to have it finished by spring to then pick up on the postponed 2020 UK dates and festivals booked.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
Our favourite venue at home has to be Chambers in Jersey but favourite national venue has to be Zanzibar in Liverpool or Latest Music Bar in Brighton. We’re really looking forward to going over to play 93 Feel East in London with our pals the Gaa Gaas and to go to play Chaos Festival in Guernsey, we can’t wait to gig again!
