Eclegma is a grinding, snarling swine of a song. It’s the new one from Tenchpress that came out at the beginning of the month. With this release, The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss the track and their favourite venues.
TF: You have a debut single out, what has the reception been like to Eclegma?
It’s probably the least commercial-sounding song on the record so I’ll be interested to see what people think… It’s a bit of a dirge but sums up the thing quite nicely…
TF: How would you sum up the record in one sentence?
A twisted and gnarled collection of synthetic sonic pyrotechnics created with little more than Avon moxy and The Worst Microphone in Britain.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release, I note an album?
The album, Engine Common, came out on the 11th of December.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
I probably won’t do any gigging with this project. I do gig with my other group, Jellyskin, however, and we love to play at the Brudenell Social Club.
