Packing 80’s synth nostalgia with an art pop flair, Music City rocker Teddy at Night recently released his new single, Blueberry Water, along with debut EP, At Night. The debut artist project of California-born musician, Teddy Boldt, Teddy at Night marks a long-awaited step into the solo spotlight. After dropping out of fashion design school in Los Angeles, Boldt made the move to Nashville to work as a touring musician. He spoke with The Fountain about the track as well his plans for the rest of 2021.

TF: You have a new single out. What has the reception been like to Blueberry Water?

Amazing! This song hits extra close to home these days, so it means the world that people are enjoying it.

TF: How would you sum the meaning of the single in one sentence?

It’s a celebration of male humility and vulnerability in love and relationships.

TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences for this track?

I’m a hopeless romantic for Bono in the 1990s.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release?

I’d released an EP in August, and I’m working on playing some shows (socially distanced pool parties).
