Trash-wave trailblazers, Me Nd Adam, is the depraved result of a relationship between a self-loathing egotist and a boisterous, red-headed emotional wreck. After meeting in New Orleans and hating each other, Adam & Vince parted ways. Unfortunately, there can be no despair without hope, no discord without union, no darkness without light. Thus, Adam & Vincecame to realize they had no choice but to embrace their differences and craft the emotionally turbulent, alternative pop duo, Me Nd Adam. With new track, Something Better, out the band spoke with The Fountain about their single as well as their enjoyment from being at TRNSMT.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Something Better?
Well, we’re doing an interview with The Fountain so I’d say it’s going pretty damn good!
I’m actually of Scottish descent so it’s quite cool to be talking with y’all. But yeah it’s been great, we had our biggest release day streaming numbers of any single we’ve put out thus far for our debut album American Drip Part I, had some coverage in Rolling Stone India, feeling good!
TF: Can you sum up the track in a sentence?
Something Better is about knowing what you’re doing is wrong but still doing it out of indifference, boredom, addiction, laziness or just plain chaos.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
We’ve got a music video for Something Better coming out very soon, another single off the album, and then the full album out in the fall. Stay up with us on Instagram for updates on all that goodness!
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
To be honest, and I hope this doesn’t sound pandering, but TRNSMT music festival in Glasgow is up there for all time most awesome concert experiences. I’ve never played it, but I was there in 2018, working for The Killers. The energy in the crowd was unmatched. I hope to get over there with Me Nd Adam ASAP!
