London-based singer-songwriter Imogen Mahdavi released her new single, Some Things Are Best Oversaid. Featuring Imogen’s falsetto vocals, country style guitars, melodies, the new track has plenty to please the listener. Imogen spoke with The Fountain about the track in more depth and her enthusiasm for playing the Brixton Academy.

TF: You have a new single out, what can we expect from Some Things Are Best Over Said?

Hopefully the same feeling you get when the sun goes down at a festival. Summer nights and echoing drums, romantic toplines. Hopefully my voice is comforting for the listener.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

A burst of love and appreciation to those you care most about.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

Releasing my debut EP, and creating some beautiful visuals to accompany the music!

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

I would love to play Brixton Academy as I’ve seen so many great artists there and the venue is so atmospheric. I had some gigs cancelled because of Covid so when it’s safe I will pot them on my socials. London has a great music scene!
