Bloomfield, New Jersey pop/rock band Boy Blue has dropped a new single titled Ghost Of Saturday Night (ft. Jaret Reddick of Bowling For Soup). Of the new track, lead guitarist, Joe Moretti says, “The song title is taken from a Tom Waits lyric, and the song is kind of an interpretation of what that means. It’s about the almost depressing feeling that you get the day after a party with all of your friends when you wake up hungover and everything is just a mess. You wonder if you’ll ever be able to get that high of happiness from the night before ever again, and that feeling really haunts you for a long while afterwards.” Chris Ortiz from the band spoke with The Fountain about the new track and how busy they were over the Summer.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Ghost of Saturday Night?

It was a fun release. I think our followers really enjoyed it for Halloween. With Halloween being a little more low-key this year because of Covid-19; I feel like it worked out really well.

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

I’d certainly hope everyone who followed us had a better Halloween because of the release!

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

All I’ll say for right now is that Ghost of Saturday Night was not the only thing we did over the summer. We stayed busy.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

We’ve played a lot of great venues. I certainly hope to get to play the Starland Ballroom at some point as well as the Wellmont Theatre. Those are the two venues in our state where we’ve all seen the best shows at. What’s more important than the venue is who we are playing with though. We really loved MGK’s latest record with Travis Barker. I’d love to play with them someday. I wouldn’t care where at that point.
