Greensboro, NC-based singer/songwriter, Casey Noel, recently released her debut EP Not Just Pretty Words. She spoke with The Fountain about the EP as well as some of the venues she is keen to play live again and some secret news she cannot quite disclose to us yet.
TF: You have a new EP out, what can we expect from Not Just Pretty Words?
You can expect to be moved in many different ways from Not Just Pretty Words. This EP will transport you for a little while, it’ll give you some advice, keep you company and give you hope.
TF: How would you sum up the record in one sentence?
Not Just Pretty Words is an honest collection of experiences, feelings and beliefs.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
I’m hoping to gig as much as possible (considering COVID) the remainder of the year. I also have plans to get back in the studio and release a song I just finished that I’m really excited about- so be on the lookout!
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
I’m blessed to be able to play at some really cool places. In terms of normal gigging my favourite places to play are Four Saints Brewing and Goofy Foot Taproom. Both are amazing atmospheres with great staff and clientele that always make me feel at home. For a ticketed show, my favourite is the Reeves Theatre in Elkin. It’s a beautiful theatre that has the most amazing acoustics.
I am most looking forward to playing a big festival that I am not able to mention by name just yet in 2021
