Anna Wolf is a singer-songwriter and holder of multiple awards for her piquant, poignant and highly idiosyncratic music. Pop Morrison is the alias of Jamie Morrison, currently the drummer of Stereophonics, and under this moniker, an explosive madcap music producer in his own right. The two have collaborated to create the theme song for The Unfamiliar, and spoke with The Fountain about the track as well as plans for the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to The Unfamiliar?

When one releases a single it is incredibly important to have the right team of people on board. The release only goes well if the song is good and the man power behind it is filled with people who believe in the track and for this reason the song has reached bloggers, radio stations and various other social media platforms with a positive momentum. My fans back in South Africa were lucky enough to hear the track live before it got released and I must say, they held onto every bit of it with love and support. I guess it’s one of those tracks that pull you in and leave you wanting more.

TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?

A nostalgic visual of flowing pink milk.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

I have a few online shows booked in the UK and will be traveling to South Africa for a small tour. I am also releasing the official Anna Wolf apparel line, I AM WOLF early 2021 so there is a lot of preparation that needs to go into the unfolding of.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

My favourite venue that I have played would be the Apollo in Hammersmith. I look most forward to playing ANY kind of venue purely for the sake of wanting to get back to normal as soon as we possibly can. Musicians are starving to get back on stage and I am optimistic that it will happen sooner than later.
