Phoenix, Arizona alternative rockers This Modern have just released their new single Next Time Around. The song is now streaming on all digital platforms via Atlanta-based label 59 X Records. Not only that but they have released new EP, Fall Apart Anywhere. Being so busy, The Fountain caught up with Eric Reavey from the band to discuss the record and 2020 plans.
TF: You have a new EP out, what has the reception been like to Fall Apart Anywhere?
Fantastic – what’s really stuck with us lately is the response we get in messages, DMs, and shares of the record. People are really connecting with this record, and that’s everything we could have hoped for.
TF: How would you sum up the EP in one sentence?
In a time of profound separation, Fall Apart Anywhere is a familiar voice desperate for connection.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
Can’t give too much away, but I can tell you we’ve got some more music videos coming out this year and an unreleased single. We do almost everything in-house, so we’re always busy.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
We’ve actually never played a show together as a band, having formed in quarantine. Since ‘normal’ shows won’t be back for a bit, we’re hoping to get a livestream together at Chaplin’s in Spring City, PA.
