Buscabulla have released their long-awaited debut album, Regresa, back on 8th May via Domino Records. The band has also recently shared their new single, Nydia. Thus, The Fountain caught up with Raquel and Luis Alfredo to talk about the releases in more depth.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Nydia?
Its been really nice, people seem to really connect with the songs transformational message, even for those who don’t speak Spanish!
TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?
Nydia is a song about having to pull yourself together when going through a tough time, its about understanding that even difficult times are necessary to allow self-transformation.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release, I am aware that you have just had an album release?
We just put our album Regresa out on May 8th!
TF: What can we expect from the LP?
The record is a collection of songs that we wrote after coming back home to Puerto Rico after living in NYC for ten years. We describe it as an emotional rollercoaster in which we face and ponder the issues affecting us and Puerto Rican society at large.
