Leaving Bordeaux is a five piece band who recently released new single, Adrenaline. The lads spoke with The Fountain about Adrenaline, their influences and their scuppered but hopeful plans for the rest of 2020.
TF: You have a new single out, what inspired you to title it Adrenaline?
We decided on Adrenaline for the title as it is a featured word in the song. However, the nature of the song is fast paced and energetic, which is reflected in the name.
TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?
The song describe someone who has become addicted on stimulation and continuously searches for the feeling it gives, with no regards to anything.
TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences?
Each of us have our own idols which we take influence from, some of those idols include; Franz Ferdinand, Metallica and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We each individually take aspects from them and apply it to our own playing style. By doing this we expose ourselves to a broader variety of ideas and influence, hopefully creating something unique along the way.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release, can we look forward to an EP, LP?
As of just now, our plans for the rest of the year are left uncertain as the Covid-19 pandemic plays out. We are hoping to be playing our first headlining show before the end of the year as sadly we had to postpone it. However, this has not stopped us, we are still hard at work, writing new songs and creating more content so that we can hit the ground running when all this is over.
