Britain’s biggest theatre-circus spectacular returns following its smash hit sell-out Fringe debut in 2018 – book now! Showcasing the finest in traditional circus thrills and skills, Cirque Berserk! brings this treasured form of live entertainment bang up-to-date in a jaw-dropping spectacular, created especially for the theatre. Combining contemporary cirque-style artistry with adrenaline-fuelled stunt action, this astoundingly talented international troupe includes over thirty acrobats, aerialists, dancers, drummers and daredevil stuntmen, who will all be at the Edinburgh Fringe for the month of August. They spoke with The Fountain about their tips for first-time performers.

TF: Cirque Berserk! certainly sounds entertaining, what is the premise?

Entertainment at the most thrilling level. An exploration of human possibilities. If you don’t believe me see Cirque Berserk for yourself.

TF: And what drove the project?

A desire to entertain.

TF: Where did your influences lie?

In a life of circus, both traditional and contemporary, throughout the world

TF: What are your plans for the Fringe?

To entertain at least 35,000 people, and have them leave the EICC with a smile on their faces

TF: Having been before are there any tips or musts you would offer to first-time performers?

Preperation, be ready, right from the first show.

TF: Have you been to the Fringe before?

Yes, in 1993 and 2018. 2019 will be the best of the three.

TF: Is there anything you are keen to see whilst in Edinburgh?

As much live performace as I can absorb, plus some whisky.

TF: And what are your future plans beyond Cirque Berserk!?
