Fresh from supporting All Saints, currently supporting Boyzone, and about to embark on a national school’s tour to promote Children’s Mental Health Week, young talent LUENA is releasing her stunning breakout single Worth It today. She took some time out of her busy schedule to speak with The Fountain about the track as well the support she receives down in London.
TF: A new single how exciting, what can we expect from the track?
From the track, you can expect an upbeat pop song that gets you moving! I also I think it’s relatable to a lot of people, myself included!
TF: You’ve titled it Worth It, what is worth it for you?
Sometimes love can be ‘worth it’ if you know it’s right despite any issues that can be thrown your way. The song Worth It is about feeling like even though a person is causing you pain, you know it’s worth it all and you’re willing suffer the pain until you are both happy.
TF: You are based in London, do you find that there is a supportive music community down south?
I feel like there’s an absolutely massive music scene down in London, and I think places like BRIT school, The Roundhouse and Soundskool provide music support for people across all ages and skill sets. There are countless other places that help support and nurture upcoming talent, which is great.
TF: Are you scheduled to perform in Scotland anytime soon?
I just performed in Scotland supporting Boyzone, as Asher Knight’s special guest.
TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?
I think my best gig to date was performing at the O2 Arena in London on the Boyzone tour. It’s always been my dream to perform there, so when I finally did it I was overwhelmed! The ten year old Luena would be so proud!
