Glassmaps have just released new electro-rock track, My Head My Heart, on 27th May, which is following the debut album, which got tongues wagging. A much anticipated release this track explores the conflict between wisdom and emotion in relationships.

The band spoke with The Fountain about which they follow, their head or their heart and what it was like to record in The Killers’ studio.

TF: A new single release, out via Lost in the Manor, how exciting, what can we expect?

Well, I’m swinging a lightbulb in the video we made for it…
The song is like a heavy weight boxers punch in slow motion and when he impacts the song takes off.

TF: And you recorded in The Killers’ studio, how was that?

It was a very uplifting and cathartic experience. I was able to let go and create whatever I want without any distractions. The room had no recording gear in it, just instruments scattered about. I brought my old laptop in and made it a studio. I would love to live in studio.

TF: Are you going to be promoting this with a tour?

I would love too. Will keep you posted.

TF: Are we likely to see you play live soon?

Yes. I love playing live.

TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?

Probably a solo show I did at the Finsbury. The vibe was real and everyone was connecting.

TF: And what do you follow, your head or your heart?

Haha I’m more of a heart person. My music would be faster and happier if I was a head person.
