Directed by the band, the video for it Only Takes A Day‘s track, Reach, has a DIY edge to it, and with comparisons to Scroobius Pip, there can only be a movement towards great things for the band this year.

They spoke with The Fountain about the reception to the single, their favourite gigs and their lost invitation to the Royal Wedding.

TF: A new video release, you must be excited?

Yeah super excited! We have worked really hard gigging, writing and making the video so we are really glad it is finally up in the public domain and getting some good feedback. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going with some more music!

TF: And what reception have you had so far to it?

We have generally been getting great feedback which is always fun. We do occasionally get the odd negative comment but that is fun too. Nice to see people getting emotionally charged by our song whether good or bad. It is quite a personal song too so it is always nice when people comment saying that they relate to the lyrics.

TF: And what more can we expect from you in 2018, an EP, an LP?

We were hoping to perform at the Royal Wedding but I don’t think the Queen got our offer. Plus I think our invite got lost in the post. Anyway we will be releasing some more singles this year and follow it up with an EP next year. We have a nice little catalogue of tunes that we can’t wait to get out in the ether.

TF: And are we likely to see you north of the border soon, promoting this single?

Of course! We will be at Knockengorroch Festival playing on the 25th of May promoting the single. Really looking forward to it. We both enjoy going to Scotland so any gig offers are most welcome!

TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?

We always like playing festivals. So far I would say our favourite London gig is at the Finsbury pub. The sound and the crowd it always great. Outside of London, we would probably say Wonderfields Festival. It was such a great weekend with a great atmosphere. This will be our third year going!
